What is AxiomRTI?
Axiom: a self-evident truth that requires no proof;
a universally accepted principle or rule.
RTI: Real-Time Information.
Put together, AxiomRTI means that immediate access
to relevant information can mean the difference
between prospering in business or just surviving.
AxiomRTI represents our experience in using technology
to provide real-time information that's helped us succeed
in our ventures, and how we can bring that experience
and capability to small and medium-sized businesses.

to a $150 million dollar enterprise.

faced by small businesses,
and overcome them.
We take the time to learn about your business
to ensure the technology
actually solves problems
and lets you run your business.
Rick Lane
I have been working with computer and networking technology
for over 25 years, and am a self professed electronic gadget guy.
What I've found is,
while there are many folks who enjoy electronic gadgets,
there are just as many who don't have time for technology
if it's not going to help them solve a problem
in either their personal life or business.
I've also seen numerous instances
of technology being used because it was interesting or "cool",
but wasn't helping a business make be more efficient or grow.
That doesn't make the technology bad, it just makes it misused,
resulting in the end user feeling they wasted their money.
Larger companies can afford to write off
some amount of poorly implemented technology,
but it's more financially painful for smaller businesses.
We started AxiomRTI to learn
about various small- and medium-sized businesses,
and adapt technology such that it becomes a tool for the merchant.
Too many technology-based companies want to sell you a product,
then move to the next customer.
At AxiomRTI, we want to establish a partnership where we can both grow.
Our belief is that there will always be
questions, suggestions, and new opportunities
from which both companies will benefit.
I started writing this part of the web site as a traditional biography
describing all my achievements and qualifications,
which might be interesting to read
but won't get across what it is we want to achieve with you,
the small- to medium-sized merchant.
Whether it's a back office computers, point of sales system,
connecting to the internet, email, or communication networks,
we want to work with you to connect you,
in real-time, with your customer.

Rick and I met at a local wine shop.
Before we knew each other, we'd both remarked to the owner
how often customers couldn't remember a particular wine they'd bought
or tasted in the store.
Separately, Rick and I had each envisioned a computer system
that customers could use to track their purchases,
rate wine, and generally make their buying experience better.
Once we started down the path to actually putting the system together,
we realized how much the technology could help
not only the wine shop, but all wine, liquor, and fine goods retailers.
And we could adapt systems for other retailers.
We'd already built and run technology businesses
that catered to large, corporate customers,
and seen first-hand how the tools and services helped them
manage their operations, identify trends, and grow;
so why should those solutions only be affordable to big business?
Why not to independent retailers and small industry,
the backbone of the American economy?
Inspired by the passion that many merchants have for their offerings,
and coupled by the passion we have for technology,
Rick and I started AxiomRTI LLC.
Combining our knowledge of computers, experience in growing businesses,
and dedication to customer service,
our goal is to provide systems to independent retailers,
customized to their industry and way of doing business.
We become an extension of your operation, a virtual IT department,
shielding you and your staff from the need
to understand how the computer systems work.
One call for all needs,
whether a point-of-sale question
or a problem opening an e-mail attachment.
And at a price affordable to the small business market.
Working together, we can help you succeed in growing your business,
and you in growing ours.
